The morning of December 12, 2023 was an auspicious time filled with great enthusiasm that Angkor University had its greatest honor to have the eminent presence of H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports in the Graduation Ceremony for 199 students, 111 of whom were females, at Angkor University. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency, Her Excellency and officials from the Ministry.
During the ceremony, H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron expressed his admiration for the hard work and dedication of the successful students who had excelled in their studies. He also commended the management team and professors of Angkor University for their important role in imparting knowledge to young Cambodians. His Excellency emphasized the importance of producing high-quality and morally upright individuals, and congratulated Angkor University for recently joining the network of French-speaking universities. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of education in the development of a civilization, citing the historical significance of Khmer literature and the emergence of Angkor universities, and called for continued support for learning both inside and outside the country.
"It is important to keep advancing our knowledge in technology and to encourage young Cambodians to embrace our culture in order to contribute to the development of the nation and build a modern Cambodian civilization in the digital era of the 21st century", H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron said.
To continue improving the quality of education, H.E. Dr. has made some recommendations to Angkor University, thereby:
1. It is important to continuously improve the quality of training by regularly developing the capacity of professors, especially to create opportunities for further research.
2. Efforts should be made to improve infrastructure and maintain a clean environment. Additionally, facilities for teaching and learning should be equipped with modern technology and sufficient study materials for research and learning.
3. Discover how to develop digital-age skills that address real needs.
4. Liaison between universities and general education institutions on STEM and communication in the nursery to help students understand the importance of higher education.
5. Integrating training with business work, team building, or new-generation business training.
In conclusion, Angkor University would like to congratulate to all the Outstanding Students and Students of Associate Degree, Part-time Bachelor of Nursing, and Bachelor Degree.
